We founded this organization so that young people in Lviv and the Lviv region have room for their own initiatives, for learning and for taking part in community life — and so that their voice is heard where decisions are made.

About us
Room for young people who want to act
Youth Lviv is a non-governmental organization founded at its founding meeting on . We are just getting started, so our first projects and events will appear on this site later.
The organization is non-profit: its income and property are used only for the purpose and directions set out in the statute and are never distributed among its members.
The purpose of the organization is to exercise and protect rights and freedoms and to meet public interests, in particular economic, social, cultural, environmental and other interests.

What we do
Four directions of our work
They are set out in our statute. Our projects, events and partnerships will be planned within them.

Civic participation
We support civic initiatives and self-organization and build cooperation between citizens, civil society organizations, public authorities and local self-government — so that young people take part in decision-making and in solving local issues.

We create conditions for young people to realize their potential, become more independent and competitive, and take an active part in public life and youth work.

Governance
How decisions are made
Our governing bodies and their procedures are defined by the statute. In short:
A regular General Meeting is held every year; an extraordinary one is called, among other cases, at the request of at least one tenth of the members.
points 20.1, 21.1Members are notified of a General Meeting at least 15 calendar days in advance.
point 22.2A General Meeting has a quorum when a simple majority of voting members is present. Each member has one vote.
points 25, 25.1Decisions are taken by a simple majority of those present. Changing the name or the edition of the statute, moving to a statute of its own, approving the disposal of real estate, vehicles or transactions above 50% of net assets, and terminating the organization require at least three quarters of the votes of those present.
points 19.1–19.5, 27The Director acts on behalf of the organization without a power of attorney, is elected by the General Meeting for five years and reports to the members at regular meetings.

Membership
Join us
Membership is voluntary and individual. Citizens of Ukraine, foreign nationals and stateless persons who are lawfully in Ukraine and have reached the age of 14 can become members.

Print and sign the form, or sign its file with a qualified electronic signature (for example, Diia.Signature).

Send the signed application to info@youthlviv.org — as a file with an electronic signature or as a scan of the signed paper form.

Get a decision
The Director reviews the application and decides on it within 30 calendar days of receiving it.

- to help achieve the organization’s purpose and not to act against it or obstruct the organization’s work
- to comply with decisions of the governing bodies
- to pay entrance, membership or other fees in the amounts and by the dates set by the General Meeting
Leaving and termination of membership
You can leave at any time: membership ends on the day the application is submitted and needs no further decision. For the Director, membership ends on the day after a new Director is elected.
point 13The Director may terminate the membership of a member who breaches the statute or has not taken part in the organization’s activities for more than a year.
points 12.1, 14A complaint about decisions, actions or inaction of the Director is considered by the General Meeting within two months of its submission. Decisions of the governing bodies can also be challenged in court.
